Tap Dance

Tap is a form of dance performed with sharp, loud taps of the foot, toe, or heel. It is extremely important for tap dancers to have synchronization. The name comes from the tapping sound made when the small metal plates on the dancer’s shoes touch a hard floor. This lively, rhythmic form of dance makes the performer not just a dancer, but also a percussive musician.

Dress Code for Tap Dance Class:
Black Tap shoes, leotard and tights (any color) – optional – dance shorts, fitted t-shirts or tank tops)
